From 10-14 August, AHW under EuFMD conducted a workshop on PCP-FMD in Nakuru for Kenyan national and county veterinary services. The objectives were to review the current Kenyan FMD strategy 2030 along the lines of the PCP-FMD risk-based approach, to align county and national vaccination strategies for FMD, to develop operating plans for FMD vaccination campaigns and to develop guidelines on monitoring and evaluation of vaccination campaigns.

Representatives from 10 county veterinary services together with representatives of the Department of Veterinary Services, KEVEVAPI vaccine producer, the FMD laboratory and FAO-Kenya and FAO-Zimbabwe participated in this 5-day workshop held in Nakuru.
