One of the key principles of the Progressive Control Pathway (PCP) is to identify and prioritize risks for FMD virus transmission and impact. Simply, because disease control (FMD) is limited by resources such as budget, people and time. The Progressive Control Practitioner Network of EuFMD dealt with this question during its 4th one-month session in December 2017. Through webinars, we had an introduction to risk analysis along the value-chain, had a number of Practitioners present real-life examples and discussed risk pathways and detailed qualitative risk assessment.
