December 2019 Update: Ministry of Agriculture in Lao PDR has endorsed the FMD Strategy.

Under the SEACFMD programme (OIE-SRR-SEA), AHW has facilitated the development of FMD control strategies for Myanmar and Lao PDR.

Over the course of 18 months, national FMD committees of both countries were trained (regional and in-country workshops), technically backstopped and enthusiastically motivated in their work to develop a RBSP that will allow the countries to apply for PCP-FMD Stage 2.

For Cambodia, the support resulted into an Action plan focusing to prepare the GDAHP on developing a RBSP in 2020.
