Hands-on Best Practices

In this Training of Trainers, we had an intensive 3-days training on "Best Practices for Sampling and Packaging of Zoonotic Agents" in Jordan.

Participants were 12 staff of the Central Veterinary Laborator and Veterinay Directorate.

In addition to technical training on biosecurity and biosafety of sampling, packaging and handling of specimen from field to central laboratory, emphasis was given to principles and approaches to Adult Learning. What makes a good training, how to prepare and present yourself as a trainer, how to balance knowledge with practical application.

These trained trainers will later this year, cascade-train regional veterinary staff on these Best Practices.
